Influenster Campus #Voxbox

Influenster campus voxbox

I was lucky to receive a voxbox from Influenster and this one is called #campusvoxbox. The Campus Voxbox is meant to consist of products that are suitable for college students. Since I'm a college student I was very happy to receive this box and I was looking forward to seeing what products Influenster decided to include.

I received:
Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Mousse
St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub
L'Oreal PARIS Advanced Straight System
Softlips Cube "Pomergranate Blueberry"
Sour Punch Rainbow Straws
Sour Punch Punchies

Influenster campus voxbox
The Jergens Natural Glow Instant Sun Sunless Tanning Mousse is full size and it retails for $12.99. It promises to give you a #goldenlife tan that is very natural looking and dries in just 60 seconds. I have no need for a sunless tanner so I'm probably giving this away to a friend.

St. Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub retails for $3.99 and I received a full size as well. This has been a favorite of mine for years. This scrub contains salicylic acid so it great for acne and it contains 100% natural exfoliates. The exfoliants are a little too large to be used on the face- it can be quite abrasive for the skin. I prefer this scrub to exfoliate my body and I use the green tree scrub for my face.

Softlips Cube retails for $3.49. Softlips claims that its 5 in 1 lip care will have lips looking radiant and feeling softer, smoother and more hydrated. It comes in four different flavors and I have Pomergrante Blueberry. I like the fruity scent and flavor. The  #SoftLips cube packaging is very cute- its like EOS lip balms but more compact and cuter. However, this balm leaves my lips super chapped. My lips look like I havent applied lip balm in days. I had to immediately stop using it.

I'm not a fan of candy but Sour Punch Rainbow Straws and Punchies are so good. I used to eat these when I was younger. My favorite are the straws and I cant find them in stores :(

Last but not least, I received samples of L'Oreal Advanced Straight system. This haircare system is meant to be ideal for those who straighten their hair frequently as it will maintain the style for up to 48 hours. I like the scent but I did not straighten my hair after using it so I cant comment on that.
Overall, I enjoyed this #voxbox and its probably my favorite voxbox.

Disclaimer: I received these complimentary products from Influenster for testing purposes.

Cleaning my makeup stash!

l.a girl pro concealer, maybelline instant age rewind concealer, the body shop tea tree concealer, rimmel mascara
It is starting to feel like Spring and Spring means Spring Cleaning. I cleaned out my closet (its crazy how many old things that you never wear are hiding deep in your closet) and now its time to spring clean my makeup stash. I haven't done this in a while so it was important for me to take a look in my stash to see what products I should keep or throw away because makeup needs and preferences change, skintone shades vary and products just get old. I was surprised to see how many items I selected to get rid of.

Maybelline Instant Age Rewind in Medium/Deep: I bought this a few years ago because I love the one that comes in the same packaging but clear tube. I believe this shade did not match me well so I stopped using it. I'm getting rid of it as its OLD.
The Body Shop Tea Tree Concealer: I purchased during TBS sales and this is in their darkest shade which is actually very light. It is a stick concealer and the consistency is dry, definitely do not use this for your undereyes. I used this to help conceal my acne marks since it contained Tea Tree I thought it was beneficial to my skin as well. I'm not a fan of stick concealers but it did help me conceal my acne scars.
l.a girl pro concealer, maybelline instant age rewing concealer, the body shop tea tree concealer, rimmel mascara
Rimmel Scandaleyes Mascara: I reviewed this mascara a few months ago and I pretty much hated it due to the mascara brush which is unfortunate as I am a fan of Rimmel mascaras. Full review here.

L.A Girl HD Pro Concealer in Medium Beige and Almond: I purchased this for $2.50 on These concealers are GOAT! They are full coverage and there is a full range of shades available. I used to use the medium one to conceal but it was my wrong undertone so it left my undereye area looking gray. The Almond shade was just too dark. I have heard this concealer being compared to MAC Prolongwear concealer as a dupe.

NYX HD Concealer in Green: I tried using this concealer to color correct my undereyes and a little goes a long way with this concealer.

e.l.f Eyelid Primer: Cheap but there are a ton of better primers out there and I do not really reach for this one anymore.

L'Oreal True Match Powder in N5 True Beige: I was gifted this a LONG time ago and I haven't really used this. Its definitely old and has to be thrown out.

e.l.f Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder: I liked the blush but they a little too much on the shimmery side especially the bronzer. I cant see anyone using it as a contour powder. I prefer my blushes on the matte side so I have not been reaching for this anymore.

Business Casual.

Today's quick OOTD is a business casual outfit that I wore to my internship. Everyone has a different definition of business casual and it varies based on occupation. Unfortunately, its still cold in NJ although its supposedly spring. I kept it simple with a white blazer with a black and white striped blouse which my brother always teases me about because he says I look like a referee with it on, black slacks and d'orsay style flats.
Blouse: Forever21
Blazer: H&M
Slacks: H&M
Flats: Ebay

Makeup wise, I kept it very simple as I was running late. Mind you, these pictures were taken after about 7 hours later with little touchups- I only applied my lippie after lunch and that was about an 1 1/2 earlier so it shows how well the makeup held up. The star of the look is definitely NARS Sheer Glow- I love the dewy radiant finish it gives and I love how it natural it looks on the skin.

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer
NYX HD Concealer- 05
NARS Sheer Glow- Syracuse
e.l.f eyebrow kit
e.l.f Blush palette in Dark
Sleek Face Form kit- Medium (Used the highlighter on cheekbones)
MUFE Smoky Extravagant Mascara
Maybelline Matte Lipstick- Touch of Spice
Maybelline The Elixir Lipgloss- Caramel Infused 065

What are your thoughts?

EOTD- Winged eyeliner

Wet n Wild megaliner eyeliner, clic cosmetics telepatia, mufe smoky extragavant mascara winged eyeliner
It has been a very long time since I posted a look- almost a year. Today's EOTD is a regular winged eyeliner but with a twist. I thinly lined over the black liner with a metallic purple liquid eyeliner that my sister gifted me when I was in Colombia in December. I'm just now using it because I'm a little afraid to experiment with color on my eyes *cries* but I'm really happy with how it turned out.
Wet n Wild megaliner eyeliner, clic cosmetics telepatia, mufe smoky extragavant mascara winged eyeliner
Wet n Wild's Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Clic Cosmetics Mirada Al Futuro Liquid Eyeliner in Telepatia
MUFE Smoky Extravagant Mascara

Wet n Wild's Megaliner eyeliner is the only liquid eyeliner that I have been using for the past 2 years. It is everything that I want in a liquid eyeliner- it is matte, black and very affordable. I was a little apprehensive about using this purple eyeliner because I thought it was a very opaque vibrant color but its actually the complete opposite. I had to apply a few strokes to achieve the desired opacity. I think Clic cosmetics is only available in South America so availability is a con. At the moment, I'm loving my MUFE Smoky Extravagant Mascara. I received this in my birthday Sephora gift and I thought I wouldn't like this mascara but I like the volume and length it gives and it doesn't flake.

I wanted to post a full face picture with this look but unfortunately, my face is breaking out. I tried avocado oil on my face last weekend and while I liked it, my skin did not like AT ALL. I started breaking out and then I found out that although some people can eat avocado they cannot apply it on their skin because they'll have an allergic reaction. I'm one of those people. It sucks because avocado oil has a lot of great benefits to the skin. I'm still dealing with some bumps but the cystic acne that I had is going away. I hope to post an FOTD soon to make up for it.

I hope you all enjoyed this little EOTD.
How do you rock your eyeliner?

Color Club Nail Lacquer- By Design

Review of Color Club nail lacquer- By Design
I have heard a ton of great things about Color Club nail polishes so when I saw a display of mini polishes for $3 I had to pick up a few. By Design is a dark plum color with a creme finish. This nail polish is opaque- you only need a maximum two coats. The wear time for this polish is good- it lasts about three days with no chipping. This mini polish brings 0.5 oz of product but I'm not complaining because its a fantastic formula and honestly I go through nail polish slowly so for $3 its enough for me.

This is the first Color Club nail polish that I have tried and I am sure that I will love the other shades that I picked up.

Have you tried Color Club nail lacquers? What shades do you recommend?

March Favorites!

nyx dewy setting spray elf blush palette makeup forever mascara

[insert comment about how fast the month went by] This past month I concentrated on face products. I have been loving blush and dewy skin lately so my faves for March reflect that.

e.l.f blush palette in dark: I purchased this at Walgreens for $6 and I LOVE this palette. It has four different blush shades that are very pigmented. The top left (peachy pink) and the bottom left (dark mauve) are my favorite. The top right blush is a sort of a barbie pink color which I am sure I will love for the summer. The bottom left is more of a berry color with shimmer. I'm very impressed with this blush palette and its totally worth the $6.

MUFE smoky extravagant mascara: I received this trial size mascara in my sephora birthday gift. I did not have high hopes for this mascara but it definitely volumizes and lengthens my lashes.

NYX Dewy Finish Setting Spray: I purchased this setting spray last year and I was very hesitant on using this because I thought it was causing breakouts (it wasn't-yay!). I have been obsessed with dewy skin and so I have been using this spray daily. It sets my makeup and it gives a nice dewy finish without making my skin appear oily.

Ebay Bargains

I love fashion but I love saving money. I'm like Mr. Krabs from Spongebob- I'm cheap therefore I love ebay. I love searching through ebay to find cute clothes for the low and I usually find really fab pieces for a fraction of what you would pay at a store. The cool thing about websites like ebay is that there are a ton of sellers who sell clothes that are inspired by designers so you're paying pennies for clothes that look expensive.
It's finally spring and the weather is starting to reflect that so I have started shopping for spring and summer clothing. First, is this Triangl inspired bikini. I was so excited when I saw this because the real Triangl bikinis retail for $60-$70 and these retail between $10-$20. GET YOU SOME, I know I will. The other items are a monokini and 2 gorgeous dresses- mind you, they retail for less than $15. Score. Ebay wins again.

Good style doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg unless you want to overpay and stores like ebay prove that.
