June Beauty Review

Another month, another monthly favorites post. I seriously can't believe how fast the year is flying by- it's already July. I was very skincare obsessed because I was trying out some new skincare. I went a little makeup crazy during June- I bought a lot of new makeup but you'll hear more about it during this month.

Neutrogena Oil Free Moisturizer SPF 35: It's so important to protect your skin during the summer from the sun's harmful rays. Excess exposure to the sun can even make your acne scars darker and age your skin. I'm also using this because I'm using retinol and skin can get a little sensitive during use so SPF is important. This moisturizes my skin so well and it sits well underneath makeup.

Tarte Maracuja Oil: I purchased a Tarte deluxe sample kit in May and this little guy was in there. I remembered the hype a couple years ago about this oil so I really wanted to try it. I apply at night after my retinol. It has a very light scent and I love this oil. It feels very light but also moisturizing. I think I'm going to buy the full size when I'm done with this sample.

MAC MSF Natural in Medium Tan: I had always wanted to try this powder because I heard so many great things about it. I decided to buy it last month so see what all the hype is about. I like how it sets my makeup and it looks very natural on my skin- not cakey at all.

NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Tahoe: This is my favorite foundation at the moment; it makes my skin look flawless and I love the satin finish. It is very pricey but totally worth it. This time I was matched to Tahoe which is a shade darker than Syracuse which is my normal NC42 shade. Tahoe is not much darker than Syracuse but it's perfect for me because I am a little tanner.

Maybelline Baby Skin Primer: I have had this primer for a while. I didn't like it at first because I felt as though it didn't make a difference and I stopped using it. I started using it again after months of not using it and I actually like it. I have large pores on the apples of my cheeks and I hate it when my foundation settles in them. This primer helps to slightly blur my pores and it helps prevent foundation from settling in my pores and emphasizing them.
