Don't get scammed: How To Tell If Your Kylie Lip Kit is Fake

How To Tell If Your Kylie Lip Kit is Fake

Kylie Lip Kits are probably the most popular makeup products. They are also very expensive and sell out like wildfire. With that being said, many have resorted to buying lip kits on Ebay or Mercari to get their hands on a lip kit. Most of the time, these lip kits get jacked up in prices or they're sold dirt cheap. Whether or not you're into buying fake makeup or just skeptical how authentic the Kylie Lip Kit you just bought is, this guide will teach you how to know if your lip kit is fake because no one likes to get scammed.

How To Tell If Your Kylie Lip Kit is Fake

The lip kit on the left is a fake Dolce K lip kit and the True Brown Lip Kit on the right is an authentic lip kit. Looking at them, they look almost identical but if you look closer the grill of the real Kylie Lip Kit changes color slightly in the light.
That is pretty much the biggest giveaway.

On the fake lip kit, Dolce K is spaced out slightly while True Brown K is not.
The font on the real lip kit is a little bolder and bigger.

Another big giveaway is the length, the fake lip kit is shorter and the packaging is made of plastic. Therefore, the fake Kylie Lip Kit is very light while the real Kylie Lip Kit is made of glass and has some weight to it.

Lastly, the letters on the fake lip kit are thinner and less dark than the real one. The letters on the fake lip kit look very worn out compared to the real one.

Those are the 3 surefire ways to tell if your lip kit is fake. Please keep in mind that if you are buying a lip kit and the price is very cheap then there is a good chance that its fake. If you buy a lip kit on Aliexpress just know that it is 100% fake. However, don't be afraid to report a seller if they do sell you counterfeit makeup and make sure to get a refund.

Be a more informed consumer and don't let yourself get scammed!

Sephora Haul | ABH & Dr.Brandt

I decided to treat myself to a few things from Sephora. I wish I could have picked up more goodies but I wasn't blessed with an infinite bank account balance. Most of the products are new releases from ABH (or new to me) and this were my first few ABH products so I was very excited to give them a try.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Pore Refiner Primer: I need a lot of help hiding my pores and I wanted to try the best primer on the market. This primer has a lot of hype and I hope that it'll hide my pores. This is the travel size and retails for $17.

ABH A23 Brush: I absolutely love this brush for highlighting. It's soft, blends highlight nicely, and its overall an amazing brush. It retails for $25 and I think its worth it.

ABH Ashton Liquid Lipstick: I finally got my hands on it- these lippies were always sold out at Sephora when they first came out. I never tried ABH lippies before so I decided to pick this one up. Ashton is a beautiful yellow brown shade but its basically a dark nude on me and I love the formula as well. I love this lipstick so much that I bought another shade from the line as well.

ABH Sun Dipped Glow Kit: I swatched this in Sephora and I was in love with this glow kit immediately. There is a nice selection of shades that will suit most skin tones. The pans are removable which makes them very travel friendly. You get 4 pans for $40 so its a good deal. My faves so far are Tourmaline & Moonstone.

ABH Modern Renaissance Palette: I've heard so many positive reviews so I decided to pick this palette up. I love the shade selection and its something I don't already have in my collection. The eyeshadows are very pigmented and buttery. This is my first ABH palette and I'm not disappointed. Modern Renaissance palette retails for $42.

I can't wait to continue playing with them and you'll definitely hear my thoughts on them in my August Beauty Review. Ebates is offering 8% cash back on Sephora so if you're interested in any of these products be sure to join ebates and earn cash back while you shop! You'll get an automatic $10 cash back when you join :)

I also filmed a Youtube video on this haul:

Stay tuned to my youtube channel, I'll have a Kylie Cosmetics giveaway coming soon.

What are your thoughts?

Nurbesten Makeup Brush Review

Nurbesten reached out to me and asked me to review one of their products. Nurbesten is a German makeup and beauty company. They sell a lot of the stuff you'd see on ebay and Aliexpress. I chose their 5 pcs brush set because I like these kinds of brushes. Last one I ordered from ebay lasted almost three years so it was time to get new ones.

These brushes retail for $22.99. A tad too expensive if you're from the U.S as these kinds of brushes retail for much less on Ebay and Aliexpress. However, if you live in Europe then the prices will seem more reasonable to you. Plus, they offer free shipping worldwide and they ship within 24 hours.

These brushes are dense and they haven't shed so far. There are a few brush hairs that are a little too long but I'm willing to overlook that. I also like the fact that they were nicely packaged and didn't smell of plastic when I first unpacked them.  My flat top brush and rounded brush gets the most love. My least favorite brush is the tapered brush but I tend to use it to blend my under eye concealer. Overall, I love these brushes and I find that these kinds of brushes are great for those who are new to makeup.

I have a code if you would like to buy from Nurbesten
